The idea behind the Outpost Series actually started as a very small one room hunting and fishing cabin.  The goal was to design a system that allowed us to produce an affordable log home that could be "dried in” in the shortest amount of time.    

After many, many long hours of research and development we designed a system that was like nothing else on the market today.  Our walls are built only moments after the logs are milled and we use patented Heritage Thru-bolts System and Log-loc Splines to keep everything snug and secure.  The result of all our hard work is a log home that can be put in the dry in days rather than weeks.  
 

After the first Outpost log home, which became known as the Lakeside, we couldn’t help ourselves, we designed several more.  Of course the models that followed grew well past the idea of the one room hunting cabin.  Now you can choose between one or two stories.  You can have a one room cabin or a three bedroom, two bath home.  Even though the size of our models grew, the quality and price didn’t.  You can still get any of our homes to the dry-in stage for about $50-$60 dollars per square foot.  Although the overall finished cost still depends a great deal on your site, amenities, and choice of finish materials, it is totally feasible to hold the overall turnkey cost to around $100-$110 per square foot.  Now that’s an affordable log home!
